SLICK OYSTER is a one-person powerhouse from Leipzig/Germany- writing, producing and performing everything solo. Blending soulful, funky Electronic Indie with intricate guitar work and deep, cool grooves, their sound is equal parts raw and refined.

Behind Slick Oyster stands an artist who’s lived music in all its forms: playing piano with their grandmother, hosting a metal radio show in their twenties, jamming in bands, and later busking across continents.

From Mexico to Peru, from the U.S. to Southeast Asia, from Leipzig to the Balkans by bicycle with friends and their dog — every experience, every encounter found its way into their music.

When their dog passed away on the road, the guitar became the only constant — a bridge between loss and creation. Slick's music carries those moments of transformation.

It blends hidden Latin grooves, mellow Asian undertones, and electronic warmth with raw emotion and indie soul.

Slick Oyster’s voice moves between softness and strength — always real, never overpolished. Their music captures years of travel, self-discovery, queer love and the courage to live from art alone. It’s not about destinations, but about what changes within you along the way.

 

On May 16 2025, Slick has released their debut single SORCERESS, a sweet and seductive groove that pulls you in slow and leaves you smiling like someone just cast a spell you don’t mind falling under.
