Behind Slick Oyster stands an artist who’s lived music in all its forms: playing piano with their grandmother, hosting a metal radio show in their twenties, jamming in bands, and later busking across continents. From Mexico to Peru, from the U.S. to Southeast Asia, from Germany to the Balkans by bicycle with friends and their dog, many loves and losses — every experience, every encounter found its way into this debut album.

 

When their dog passed away on the road, the guitar became the only constant — a bridge between loss and creation. LOVE : OCEANS carries those moments of transformation. There are hidden Latin grooves, mellow Asian undertones, and electronic warmth with raw emotion and indie soul.
